Best of the best in 2022-23 acknowledged at presentation

First Grade opening batter Joey Coughlan and Cooper Biddle took out the major awards at Orange CYMS Cricket Club's 2022-23 Junior and Senior Presentation on Sunday 30 April.
Coughlan was named Jack Moroney Cricketer of the Year for his outstanding performances in BOIDC First Grade and Bonnor Cup matches where he scored 585 runs, took 14 wickets and held five catches.
Coughlan was also named the club's Tony Kelly All-Rounder of the Year and Bonnor Cup Player of the Year, capping a wonderful first season with the club.
Biddle took home the season's major junior trophy - the Jack Moroney Junior Cricketer of the Year award - for his 389 runs, nine wickets and five catches in his Orange District Junior Cricket Association matches for the club's Under-14s Green team.

Biddle also received a Junior Development Award, along with Johnty French and McCallum Cole, which are presented to promising cricketers under the age of 18. The awards provide a registration subsidy of $100 to assist with playing fees for the following season.
First Grade players Charlie Tink and Mac Webster took out the other major on-field awards.
Tink won the Pat Fahey Wicketkeeper of the Year award for his 16 catches and three stumpings in BOIDC First Grade and Bonnor Cup games, as well as the Steve Luck Player of the Finals award for his 187 runs at an average of 93.5 in three games, including 124 not out in BOIDC First Grade preliminary final and 62 in grand final.
Webster was named Bill McAuliffe Under-21s Player of the Year for the second season in a row, a fitting acknowledgement of his 257 runs, 21 wickets and three catches in BOIDC First Grade and Bonnor Cup games, as well as his selection in the NSW Country Under-19s team which played in the national championships in Adelaide.

Riley Krause was named Peter Falvey Clubperson of the Year for his many contributions over the course of the season, including helping to run Master Blasters on Thursday afternoons, captaining the club's ODCA T20 Cup-winning team, and being a member of club committee and vice-captain of Third Grade.
The Michael Powell Junior Clubperson of the Year Award went to Toby Dickinson, who volunteered to help run the Junior Blasters sessions, assisting for 12
Mondays across 2022 and 2023.
The Chris Ely Memorial Award, given to a junior player who has best embodied the club's values - Respect, Pride, Purpose and Contribution - during the season, went to Henry Heath.
Henry's Under-14s coach, Angus Gorman, said Henry “ ... was always respectful to everyone involved in games, on his team and the opposition, including frequently calling out for the team to clap the dismissed opposition batter off the field".

"Henry was always wore his club gear correctly. He always put 100 per cent effort in at training. He was always accepting, welcoming and supportive of every player in both under-14s teams, especially going out of his way to help and support players with less ability than himself."
Gerard Hannelly and Dave Neil were inducted as life members of the club at the presentation.
