WELCOME, ONE AND ALL: Orange CYMS Cricket Club will field teams in seniors, women's, juniors and Blasters cricket in 2025-26.
For the 2025-26 season, Orange CYMS Cricket Club has programs and teams that cater for all ages, genders and levels of ability.

BLAST CRICKET
Overview
There are two Blast Cricket programs available:
Junior Blasters
Fun drills and games to build basic skills for those new to cricket. Aimed at kids aged 5-6. This season there will be groups run in Orange and Molong:
Orange: 10 sessions will be held at Wade Park, running from 4pm-4.45pm on Mondays. The season will start on Monday 10 November, with a break over the summer holidays.
Molong: 10 sessions will be held at Dr. Ross Memorial Recreation Ground, running from 3.30pm-4.15pm on Thursdays. The season will start on Thursday 13 November, with a break over the summer holidays.
Master Blasters
Non-competitive, modified and safe matches for kids who have the ability to bowl with a straight arm and hit a moving ball. Aimed at kids aged 7-9.
This season there will be matches played in Orange and Molong:
Orange: 10 matches will be played at Wade Park, running from 4pm-5.15pm on Mondays. The season will start on Monday 10 November, with a break over the summer holidays.
Molong: 10 matches will be played at Dr. Ross Memorial Recreation Ground, running from 3.30pm-4.45pm on Thursdays. The season will start on Thursday 13 November, with a break over the summer holidays.
Should my child play Master Blasters or under-11s?
For the 2025-26 season players registering for the under-11s need to be:
born between 2/9/2014 and 1/9/2016
able to bowl a ball 16 metres with some consistency. This is important because there have been under-11s teams without bowlers who can do this and it ruins the game for both teams.
Exceptions can be made for kids who are close to the right age, including for families to avoid extra travel to different games.
What does registration cost?
All registration costs are payable upfront and cover the entire season.
Junior Blasters and Master Blasters registrations cost $110.
The first 100 players registered to receive a $50 registration refund, thanks to McDonald's Orange and Cowra.
And there is free registration for parents and guardians who assist with the running of a Master Blasters team.

Is there financial assistance available?
All Blast Cricket participants are eligible to use the NSW Government Active Kids Voucher, valued at $50.
There are two steps to using these vouchers:

2. Use your voucher on the last page of the registration process (outlined below)
The first 100 players registered for Blast Cricket this season will receive a $50 registration refund, thanks to McDonald's Orange and Cowra. This money will be provided as a cash payment at the first session of the season.
There is free registration for parents and guardians who assist with the running of a Master Blasters team.
What clothing is needed?
Junior Blasters and Master Blasters are sent a BBL shirt and hat by Cricket Australia when they register, which are to be worn in the sessions.
They can wear any shorts and joggers in their sessions.
What equipment is needed?
Junior Blasters and Master Blasters will be sent a selection of cricket gear by Cricket Australia, including bats, balls, hats and drink bottles.
All other equipment is provided.
Coaches and helpers
All Junior Blasters sessions will be overseen by club supervisors. But we welcome offers from parents and guardians to assist with these sessions.
Master Blasters teams require someone to manage the team by setting up the fields, scoring, organising batters and bowlers, and awarding Player of the Week vouchers.
Parents or guardians who do this will have the full cost of their child's registration refunded.

JUNIOR CRICKET
Overview
Junior cricket in Orange is 20- or 25-over matches in age-group competitions which cater for players aged 9-15.
Under-11s are played from 4.30pm-6.30pm on Thursdays; under-12s through to under-16s are played from 8.30am-12pm on Saturdays.
Matches are played in term 4 of 2025 and term 1 of 2026, with a break over the summer holidays.
All teams have one training session per week, running for 60-90 minutes. Team coaches and parents will work out the day and time of training sessions.
When forming teams, priority will be given to returning players so that we can keep teams together as much as possible.
Should my child play Master Blasters or under-11s?
For the 2025-26 season players registering for the under-11s need to be:
born between 2/9/2014 and 1/9/2016

What clothing is needed?
New juniors cricketers will be given a playing shirt and cap by Orange CYMS Cricket Club when they register.
Returning juniors cricketers can wear the white playing shirt they wore last season or get a new one from the club if needed.
All juniors cricketers will require white playing pants for matches, which can be purchased from the club or elsewhere.
There is an assortment of quality, club-branded clothing available in a range of junior and adult sizes:
White playing pants
Wide-brim cricket hats
Formal polos (t-shirts)
Hoodies
Training singlets
All registered players will be contacted before the start of their seasons to make orders for these items.
What equipment is needed?
Juniors cricketers require their own equipment: bats, pads, gloves, helmets, protectors and cricket bags.
The club has a small selection of new and good-condition used gear that can be loaned to players.
Wicket-keeping gloves and pads are provided by the club.
Coaches and helpers
Juniors teams require coaches, managers and scorers.
These roles are filled by parents/guardians of players who want to help, as well as senior cricketers from the club.
Parents or guardians who coach a juniors teams will have the full cost of their child's registration refunded.

WOMEN'S CRICKET
Overview
There are two programs of female-only cricket that cater to players aged 13 or older:
Friday night social league
This league is aimed at players who are new or returning to cricket, and is played under modified and safe conditions.
There will be 12 games, with half in term 4 of 2025 and the other half in term 1 of 2026.
Teams (of 8-12 players) can be nominated, or we will put players into teams with friends and family as needed.
ODCA T20 Competition
This competition is aimed at more serious and experienced players, and is played under full match conditions.
There will be 4-6 matches played on Sundays across the season.
Players will be given the chance to nominate for inclusion in teams in this competition.
Women's cricketers are also welcome to play in seniors teams, which play on Saturday afternoons.
What does registration cost?
Registrations for Friday night social cricket cost $150 for adults and $120 for juniors (aged 13-18).
There will be an additional $50 paid by players in the ODCA T20 competition.

There is an assortment of quality, club-branded clothing available in a range of junior and adult sizes:

Formal polos (t-shirts)
Hoodies
Training singlets
All registered players will be contacted before the start of their seasons to make orders for these items.
What equipment is needed?
Women's cricketers will be provided all equipment for training and playing in the Friday night social league.
Those playing in the competitive T20 matches will need a bat, helmet, pads, gloves, thigh pad and abdominal protector.
The club has a small selection of new and good-condition used gear that can be loaned to players but players are encouraged to source their own.
Umpires, scorers and helpers
Women's teams require umpires and scorers.
Usually these roles are filled by the partners or children of our players.

SENIOR CRICKET
Overview
Senior cricket in Orange is matches of varying length played as part of graded competitions, with draws, ladders, finals and premierships.
Matches are played on Saturday afternoons, starting at either 1pm or 1.30pm and concluding at about 6pm.
Eligibility starts at 13 years old for Centenary Cup (Fourth Grade), and 14 years old for First, Second and Third Grades.
The season starts on Saturday 11 October for First, Second and Third Grades, and on Saturday 18 October for Centenary Cup.
There is one mandatory training session per week.
What does registration cost?
Registration costs:
Aged 19 years or older playing seniors cricket full-time - $330
Aged 18 years or younger playing seniors cricket full-time - $210
Aged 18 years or younger playing seniors cricket full-time and juniors cricket full-time - $300
Casual senior cricket - $160 (please note: full-time cricketers are prioritised over casual cricketers when selecting teams)
Life Members - $75.55 (Cricket Australia and ODCA fees only)
